CEA Graduate Student Concerns Committee  (2015-2018)
This application-based position grew out of a CEA panel in 2013.  The College English Association created this committee to give graduate students
more of a voice in the structure and content of the conference.

NYCEA Executive Board Member (2013-Current)
After several years as a NYCEA presenter, I was asked to join the board in 2013.  Since that time, I have completely re-built our web page
(nycea.org), which enabled us to process payments online for the first time.  I also organized our 2017 conference in October at the University of
Rochester.  This conference was attended by 70+ people including 50+ presenters, all on the theme of margins and marginality.  As conference
organizer, I was responsible for: Writing the CfP, soliciting abstracts, corresponding with participants, approving and rejecting papers, organizing
panels, booking spaces on campus, finding campus partners, arranging for catering, designing the program, and many other logistical responsibilities.

Other Service:

Research Assistant for Theodora Jankowski (2015-2017)
I served as a research assistant to Theodora Jankowski for nearly three years.  Jankowski, who has completely lost her vision in recent years, approached me with her goal of completing a book on the court plays of John Lyly.  In that time, we developed a working rhythm based largely on a shared love of awful puns, and the monograph was recently published by Medieval Institute Publications.  On a personal note, I am consistently in awe of Theodora's strength and perseverance.  Working with her has made me a better scholar and a better person.
